And, to me, it's NOT about abuse or being the victim of other people's crimes. It's about life as a human.
The limited perspective of a person.
The way events in our lives "dirty the lens" we observe the world through.
The way we misunderstand and are so often misunderstood.
The fact that a single event can be observed differently by each person involved - and all of their contradictions remain true.
It's about the way we move forward - not just despite our differences, but taking advantage of them - in an effort to improve the world in some way.
It's about recognizing ourselves in each other and extending the same mercy we instinctively give to ourselves to our fellows.
It's about seeing past what we've been taught to look for so that we don't miss the beauty that is always right in front of us.
Can anyone tell me what Addison looks like?
I'm extremely interested in knowing what she looks like to you. Leave a comment!
